The market will feature 21 stalls and will be held on the High Street. Organisers hope it will encourage more visitors into the town.

The market will be held on November 23, a day before the Christmas lights are being switched on the following evening.

Town centre manager Cheryl Welsh said she wanted to bring something a bit different to Bilston. She said: "It will help build up the Christmas atmosphere."

Businesses in Bilston are being encouraged to snap up a stall. The market will run from 9am-4pm.

The village of Essington in South Staffordshire is putting on its first ever Christmas street market this year on December 22.
