Dudley crash victim, 27, is named
A motorcyclist who died following a crash with another vehicle in Coseley was today named as 27-year-old Antony Corbett.
The steelworker, of Windsor Crescent, Dudley, suffered severe chest and abdominal injuries in the smash at the junction of Ivyhouse Lane and the Birmingham New Road on October 25.
He was taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital but died of his injuries.
An inquest was today opened and adjourned at Smethwick Coroners' Court.
Black Country coroner Robin Balmain said the motorcycle, ridden by Mr Corbett, and the other vehicle had been travelling in opposite directions when the crash happened.
He adjourned the inquest until a later date still to be set for more information to be gathered.
Mr Balmain said the post mortem had confirmed Mr Corbett had died from the chest and abdominal injuries.
