Wolves winger Adam Hammill in assault arrest
Wolves winger Adam Hammill has been arrested over an alleged assault on a paramedic.
Hammill, 24, was taken into custody after an alleged disturbance in Liverpool city centre in the early hours of Sunday.
Hammill, who is currently on loan at Huddersfield Town, was held on suspicion of common assault before being bailed pending further inquiries.
The North West Ambulance Service claimed one of their staff had been "the victim of an assault" while attending an incident.
Huddersfield Town said: "We have been made aware of an incident which has taken place in Merseyside involving Adam Hammill.
"The matter is being investigated by the police, therefore it would be inappropriate to comment at this stage."
Hammill came to Wolves in 2010 from Barnsley at a cost of £500,000 but has failed to prove himself.
