Teenager thwarts phone snatch thieves
A teenage girl chased off two would-be thieves who tried to steal office equipment from the estate agents where she works in Hednesford.
Natasha Mair, aged 19, gave chase to the men when she realised they had grabbed her phone in
. The former Cannock Chase High pupil said they were also eyeing up a laptop and other company mobiles in the branch in Market Street. But they got more than they bargained for.
"I was a bit shaken up after it happened," said Miss Mair. "They were looking around suspiciously and then the phone went off and I grabbed it back."
Owner Linda Whitehouse who is now installing CCTV, added: "They were also eyeing up the laptop, but before they had chance she got up and grabbed the phone off them and chased them out the door."
Staffordshire Police are investigating the attempted theft at 4pm on Monday.
