Detectives in hunt for 'smiling' robber
Police were today chasing new leads after images of robbers at Staffordshire businesses were screened on TV's Crimewatch.
Staffordshire Police say they are following different lines of inquiry after receiving calls since Thursday night.
Detectives hope the CCTV pictures will help to catch those behind a Cheslyn Hay robbery and a Lichfield burglary.
The robbery at the Cheslyn Hay Co-op, in High Street, was on April 26. CCTV shows two masked men entering the store before one of them forced a member of staff to give him cash from the safe. The Co-op has issued a £20,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.
The images show two offenders dressed head to toe in black, both carrying dark bags, and one of the men appears to smile at the camera.
Burglars targeted the Cure clothes shop in Bore Street, Lichfield, on December 19. They smashed through the door with a sledge hammer before taking designer clothes which were later recovered in the West Midlands.
