Police today released CCTV images of a couple they want to speak to in connection with the theft if hundreds of pounds worth of clothes from a Wolverhampton store.

The man and woman are suspected of stealing items on two occasions from Peacocks, in Market Way, Bilston.

It is believed that a man, who was balding, stood outside the store while a woman, who had blonde hair in a pony tail, selected items and then placed them together on the same display rail.

When the balding thief was signalled by the woman, he entered the store and together, they stole the selected clothing.

The pair are believed to be responsible for stealing hundreds of pounds worth of clothing during August.

Pc Matthew Kidson, from Bilston police station, said: "Looking at the CCTV images we think the woman may be pregnant and would like to hear from anyone who may be able to identify the two to call us."

The thefts occurred on August 3 and 10. Witnesses should call police on 101.

Last week, police released CCTV images of a suspected thief who stole a handbag containing more than £650 and bank cards the nearby B&M store on Bilston Road.

The man had spotted the bag in a trolley at the bargain store and left the shop but returned a few seconds later wearing shades. The bag had been been left by a woman who had forgotten to remove her bag. Images showed the thief grabbing the bag, which he claimed was his.
