One for the ladies at Wolverhampton Racecourse

Glamorous gowns, fascinators and a flutter on the horses will be the order of the day when Wolverhampton Racecourse hosts a Ladies Evening.

Women will be heading to the attraction tomorrow for an evening of fashion, racing and live music. The annual occasion is a highlight on the racing calendar in Wolverhampton. Awards will be handed out for best dressed and best hat, while a new award has also been created for best shoes.

Eight races will take place between 5.30pm and 9pm and live band Battle of the Divas will perform after the last race.

Racecourse managing dir-ector David Roberts said: "The event gets bigger every year. It's a great event for the whole family and we look forward to welcoming racing, music and fine dining fans."
