Five to face charges after Lichfield assault

Five men have been charged in connection with an assault in Lichfield – a year after the alleged attack took place.

Five men have been charged in connection with an assault in Lichfield – a year after the alleged attack took place.

Two men, both aged in their 30s, were in Cathedral Walk when they were assaulted.

The attack took place at around 12.45am on October 16 last year.

The two victims suffered facial injuries and were treated at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield before being released.

Five men have now each been charged with assault and affray and are due to appear before magistrates in Burton tomorrow.

They are Jordan Kidd, aged 19, of Main Street, Higham on the Hill, Nuneaton; Robert Martin Rhodes, 18, of Bloomfield Crescent, Lichfield; Luke Dean Boyle, 20, of Milne Avenue, Fradley, Josh Richard Gair, 18, of The Pines, Lichfield, and a 17-year-old from Lichfield.

Kidd is also charged with theft.
