Detailed plans for additional staff parking to help meet the demand from workers at Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital are being drawn up.

Health bosses are looking to create dozens of new spaces at the site in Pensnett Road.

Around 260 workers missed out on pass which would have enabled them to park at either the £6million multi-storey at Russells Hall, the Guest Hospital in Dudley or the Corbett in Stourbridge at the end of last year.

Since then directors have been discussing how more spaces can be made available for workers at the Russells Hall site.

A scheme to create 50 spots at the back of the site was previously mooted and bosses said today they were continuing to look at a range of options.

Once the designs have been finalised, a planning application will be submitted to Dudley Council.
