Memorial day to honour murder victim Tom Kirwan

The family of a Midlands murder victim have organised a memorial day.

Tom Kirwan was stabbed outside Wolverhampton's Uberra nightclub last month. He was 23.

The fundraising memorial day will be on Sunday at ECC Sports and Social Club in Bushbury from 1pm.

It will include football, a barbecue, raffle, disco, quiz, face painting and games.

Mr Kirwan's fiancee, Jade Elwell, said: "Everyone who knew Tom will know that he was setting up a football team – so please help to fulfil his dream by attending this day."

All proceeds will go to his memorial fund.

Mr Kirwan's death sparked tributes from people throughout the city, with Wolves shirts and flowers still lying on the ring road outside Uberra on Wednesfield Road.
