Rescue teams hunt for teenager missing in lake drama

Rescue teams were this afternoon carrying out a desperate search for a 16-year-old boy missing in a South Staffordshire lake following a car accident.

The vehicle went into The Great Pool, near Patshull Park Hotel, Burnhill Green, shortly before 12.30am this morning.

Three people, all from Shropshire, were in the car.

Peter Bate, of Staffordshire Police, said the male driver, aged 18, and female front-seat passenger, aged 15, had got out of the water but that the 16-year-old was still missing.
