It is one of the most unusual homes in South Staffordshire and has attracted groups of admirers keen to get a glimpse of its rustic charm.

But now the quaint, pink windmill in Little Saredon has been taken off the market by its owners Neville and Linda Faultless.

The couple made the decision after Mrs Faultless fell ill just before Christmas. But they still plan to move and say they will put the £650,000 house back up for sale, probably later in the year, when Mrs Faultless feels back up to welcoming potential buyers.

Mrs Faultless, aged 62, said: "I had a few health issues before Christmas which was taking up most of my time. I wasn't feeling great so we decided to take it off the market. Only for that reason really. When things are back to normal we will put it back on and then see what happens."

Mr Faultless, 72, who used to work for an industrial cleaning company, bought the mill in 1976 and for the first two years he had to live in a caravan in the garden, while he slowly set about making the property habitable.

He later met his wife and the pair have spent the past 35 years transforming it into the quirky, unique home they have today. But last year they decided it was time to start a brand new project.

Their home features an indoor hot tub, spiralling metal staircases, stained glass windows and a fully stocked bar. It also comes with a beautifully manicured garden complete with a red phone box and Royal Mail post box.

The current mill dates back to 1806. After the windmill featured in the Express & Star in September last year, Mr and Mrs Faultless have been "inundated" with potential buyers.

Mrs Faultless added: "People would just drive past, see the for sale sign and knock on the door. Some people just wanted to come inside and take a look."
