A city centre pub in Wolverhampton has closed suddenly for improvements. The Tap and Spile in Princess Street will reopen on Friday.
It closed on Monday and owners Enterprise Inns have boarded it up.
The company today confirmed that a new publican will be taking it on.
Spokesman Vicky Averis said: "It's reopening on Friday. Work is going on inside and we have a new publican who will take charge from tomorrow."
