Britain's Got Talent star Jean Martyn led the congregation in concert to mark a milestone anniversary for a church.
It was a packed house with people arriving for the show at Gig Mill Methodist Church, in Norton, Stourbridge. The church, in Glebe Lane, is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year with church members planning a series of events. Mrs Martyn, from Brewood, who won fame on the television talent show, kickstarted the celebrations by playing a special concert packed full of pop songs, hymns and jazz records.
One of the event organisers Jane Baxter said everyone was thrilled with Jean's performance and enjoyed meeting her on the night.
"It was very nice to have her here. This is a really friendly church which is very welcoming in a true Methodist style," she added.
Members had also created a floral display of historic moments over 80 years.
