More than three million people been gripped by Line of Duty, the tense tale of a top detective who gets drawn into a world of corruption.
The five-part drama, which finishes tonight, has pulled in some of BBC Two's highest viewing figures of the past decade and is already being tipped to scoop a host of awards.
Gregory Piper, aged 14 and Jordyn-Eve Davis-Greene, 12, have become the talk of their schools since the show started. And they have even been stopped in the street by fans of the Birmingham-based BBC Two show who recognise them.
Many of the scenes were filmed in areas of Birmingham such as Nechells, and the fictional police station is based in the city's Broad Street.
Windsor High pupil Gregory, of Haden Close, Dudley, plays foul-mouthed Ryan Pilkington, a troubled youngster who gets caught up in the action. He has already been seen leading a gang on an inner-city estate and attacking the show's central character, Det Ch Insp Tony Gates, after he was kidnapped.
His fellow drama school pupil Jordyn-Eve, of Whittington Road in Stourbridge, has also regularly appeared as DCI Gates's daughter Natalie.
This was the pair's first audition and they both say they did not expect such a positive reaction to their debut roles.
Gregory said: "All my friends have cheered me on and I'm really glad people like it. It has been fun playing this character and being able to let go. Everyone has found it quite funny that I've had to swear so much."
The two both attend Drama workshop at Chawn Hill Church, Stourbridge.
