The new president of Wednesbury Rotary Club today spoke of his pride at taking on the role and said he was looking forward to a year of fundraising and community activities.
The new president of Wednesbury Rotary Club today spoke of his pride at taking on the role and said he was looking forward to a year of fundraising and community activities.
Graham Golcher, who was born and brought up in Wednesbury, has been chosen as the club's next president. The 64-year-old former metallurgist who worked at Aluminium Bronze in Walsall said it was an honour to be made president a second time.
The married father of one, who has been in the Rotary Club for 23 years, said: "I did it 13 years ago, and it really is an honour to be chosen for this position again.
"I really enjoy representing the club, and meeting the great many people you come into contact with as president.
Mr Golcher, of Church Hill, added: "We really care about the community in Wednesbury and of course we also have the international side of our work which is also very interesting."
