Delays as lorry overturns in Penkridge

An overturned lorry caused problems for drivers on a busy main route in Staffordshire today.

Pottal Pool Road, in Penkridge, was closed and a diversion put in place while the vehicle was recovered.

Police were called to the scene at around 5am after the white Scania lorry overturned.

The driver was uninjured. Traffic was backing up along the nearby A34 Stafford Road.

Police and highways officers were on hand while recovery took place.
