A former Manchester United footballer from Stourbridge has been reunited with a championship medal he won almost 40 years ago.
Steve James, aged 62, was presented with the Second Division Champions medal by Buildwas Primary School in Shropshire, today after teachers found it in a clear-out.
The central defender said he was dumbfounded as to how the medal from the 1974-75 season had made it to the school.
Mr James said: "I last saw the medal at my parents house 25 years ago."
Coseley-born Mr James won the championship medal with the side after helping United back into the old First Division following their relegation a year earlier.
