West Bromwich marathon hero Blind Dave Heeley showed off his Olympic Torch to school children as the countdown for the relay arriving in Sandwell begins.
The fundraiser, famous for running seven marathons on seven continents in seven days, was at Lutley Primary School in Halesowen, yesterday.
As he met youngsters he showed them the Olympic Torch he recently carried in Stoke-on-Trent as part of the nationwide relay.
The relay returns to the West Midlands on Saturday, arriving first in Staffordshire in the morning when it will begin its journey from the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, before travelling to Great Wyrley, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Dudley.
It will arrive in Sandwell at around 5.45pm before heading to Birmingham.
The relay went from Sheffield into Doncaster and then Scunthorpe today.
Tomorrow it will travel to Lincoln, and and Derby on Friday.
