Two axe-wielding robbers stole hundreds of pounds worth of cash and cigarettes from a South Staffordshire store before escaping on a motorbike.
The two men, believed to be in their 20s, entered the Co-op in Giggetty Lane, Wombourne, wearing crash helmets and threatened the women workers with an axe.
They forced the two workers – aged 21 and 22 – to open the safe and hand over money, plus around 30 packets of cigarettes, before making their getaway.
The shop was cordoned off by police for several hours following the robbery at around 7.15am on Saturday.
Only the two members of staff were in the store.
