A new bar and restaurant will open its doors in a former nightclub in Wolverhampton city centre, creating up to 10 jobs, it was announced today.

The venue will be called Darlington Street – named after its location.

It will transform the building previously occupied by Moscow Bar.

It will be run by Easy Pub Management, the same firm behind the city's Gorgeous and Divine bars.

The company is currently refurbishing the building and has applied to Wolverhampton City Council for a premises licence.

A council report says the company asked to serve alcohol between the hours of 11am and 1am.

The authority's licensing sub-committee is set to decide the application at its next meeting which is set for Friday.
