Police have been given extra time to question a man arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 63-year-old former Blackheath teacher.
Alethea Taylor was last seen at her home in Ludlow on January 19.
A man in his 60s was arrested yesterday morning in connection with her disappearance. Police have now been granted more time to speak to him.
It comes as parents at the primary school in Brittania Road gave their reaction to the disappearance.
Mother-of-three Jackie Coley, aged 31, of Uplands Avenue, used to be taught by Mrs Taylor. She said: "I'm absolutely shocked. She was a really nice person, really nice. If you upset her you'd know about it. But if you were upset she would look after you."
Mother-of-one Sharon Harris, 45, from Mackmillan Road, Rowley Regis, said: "No-one can believe it."
