A Grand Prix fan popped into a Black Country shop to buy a cold cure and got the best pick-me-up of his life – bumping into two-time Formula One World champion Mika Hakkinen.
The driving ace was in Wolverhampton at the start of a whistle stop tour promoting the launch of 500 Hermes ParcelShops in convenience stores throughout the UK.

Fan Simon Brufton spotted the superstar in the Nisa Local convenience store in Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton.
The 30-year-old IT support worker, of Stampton Close, Perton, said: "All I wanted was a packet of Lemsip and I got one of the biggest surprises of my life. I love F1 and immediately recognised Mika. I couldn't my eyes."
The Finnish star, who retired in 2001 after 10 years in F1, said: "This job is certainly very different from driving a racing car."
