A young couple from Kidderminster are among three people who died following a road crash in the Midlands.

Luke Morris, 22, and his partner Elizabeth Stanley, 24, were killed when the black Nissan 200 SX Coupe they were in hit a tree in Pershore, Worcestershire.

Mr Morris's sister, Rebecca Townsend, 26, of Wick, Pershore, who was a back seat passenger, also died a short time later in hospital.

A man who was also travelling in the car suffered multiple injuries and is in a critical but stable condition in The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

Police say the car came off the B4084 and hit a tree near Pershore Agricultural College on Saturday at about 12.35am.

Inspector Julian Smith said it appeared no other vehicle was involved but appealed for any information.
