A man has been left fighting for his life after being knocked down in a village near Kidderminster.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was trapped under the car for more than an hour.
Emergency crews were called to Bliss Gate Road, in Callow Hill, at around midnight on Saturday.
Firefighters from Kidderminster used cutting equipment to free the man who was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Inspector Gurjit Singh said the man was in a critical condition.
The car driver, aged in his late teens, was treated for an eye injury.
