The Railway pub in Pelsall shuts suddenly

A pub has closed suddenly – with the landlord leaving a note in its window thanking customers for their support.

The Railway in Pelsall had been open as usual on Sunday but was closed suddenly on Monday.

Customers had no warning and only saw the venue was shut when they arrived for a pint.

Enterprise Inns, which owns the Victoria Road venue, says it needed to meet the landlord for talks.

Landlord Thomas Osborne was unavailable for comment.
