Legal move on travellers' camp in Hednesford

A legal bid to force travellers to leave their camp in Hednesford was being heard by a court today.

Cannock Chase Council is seeking an eviction order over the settlement in Hemlock Way, near the The Cross Keys pub.

The case was listed at Walsall County Court today.

Nine caravans and vehicles moved onto the land at the weekend.

Residents say they are wary of the group, who have set up near homes in Devall Close and Keys Close.
