A Midland brewery took a step back in time by delivering ale to local pubs on a horse-drawn dray.

The old-fashioned method was revived by the Kinver Brewery to promote the upcoming Kinver Country Fayre, where the heavy horses will be on display.

Crowds of people watched as the horses pulled a vintage brewery dray to deliver ale throughout the village.

Deliveries started at the Cat at Enville, before heading down the lanes to load up at the brewery in Stone Lane. The dray then went along the High Street to the Cross and the Constitutional Club.

The horses belong to Paul and Yvonne Simmons of the championship Mordearg Shires stud near Penkridge.

They will be back in Kinver on June 17 to take part in the fayre which will have more than 100 stalls this year.
