Extra buses lined up for Lichfield Bower event

Extra buses will be laid on this year for the thousands of people expected to attend the annual Lichfield Bower, Arriva Midlands announced today. There will be 10 additional buses for Monday's event.

Extra buses will be laid on this year for the thousands of people expected to attend the annual Lichfield Bower, Arriva Midlands announced today. There will be 10 additional buses for Monday's event.

They will link Armitage, Brereton, Burntwood, Chase Terrace, Chasetown, Handsacre and Rugeley.

The bus firm says the services will help people getting around the region for the jubilee weekend.

In addition to the usual Sunday timetable being operated on bank holiday Monday extra journeys will be running on route 825, leaving Springfield Road/ Plovers Rise at 10.15am, 11.15am and 12.15pm calling at Springfield Estate, Rugeley bus station, Brereton, Armitage and Handsacre. Extra buses return from Lichfield bus station at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm to Handsacre, Armitage, Brereton and Rugeley to Springfield Road/Plovers Rise.

Extra buses on route 60 will leave Chase Terrace, Sankeys Corner at 9.40am, 10.40am, 11.40am and 12.40pm calling at stopds in Chasetown and Burntwood, Swan Island to Lichfield.

Route 60 buses will leave Lichfield, Bus Station at 2.05pm, 3.05pm, 4.05pm, 5.05pm and 6.05pm via Chase Terrace, Sankeys Corner in addition to the usual journeys on the 33A and 60.
