West Midlands on flood alert - as drought goes on

The West Midlands was today warned to brace itself for torrential downpours and flooding tomorrow – despite the country still being officially in drought.

Heavy rain and strong winds have been forecast and the Environment Agency has put out flood alerts in the region.

Forecasters predict heavy rain and strong winds will hit the region in the early hours of tomorrow morning and continue throughout the day.
