Skip full of tyres on fire in Oldbury

Firefighters were called to a burning skip containing tyres and scrap metal in West Bromwich.

The fire service received around a dozen calls after smoke was seen pouring from the industrial site off Pennington Close last night.

Crews from West Bromwich and Oldbury were called out at around 6.20pm to tackle the blaze.

Fire chief Andrew Fellows said: "We were there for three hours as it was burning for a quite a long time."
