Broadcasting from his trendy Black Country salon, hairdresser David James first hit the headlines with his online style school – and tonight he will be playing to a much bigger crowd on Britain's Got Talent.

"Something different, flamboyant and camp" is how the 27-year-old has described his act on the ITV show, which sees him team up with a junior stylist from his salon.

Dubbed "The Hair Divas", Mr James, of New Invention, and 17-year-old Sian Giles, of Rushall, used their skills in a two-minute hairdressing dance routine as they styled two models at the ICC in Birmingham.

Mr James, whose salon is in Walsall Wood, has now also launched his own book.
