Alarm after shots fired at city door

West Midlands Police were called to Owen Road, Penn Fields, on Wednesday night.
Members of the public reported seeing a man with a gun.
Bullets were fired towards the direction of a house.
Police spokeswoman Sam Bates said: "Police were called at around 8.25pm on Wednesday night to reports of a firearm incident.
"A firearm was discharged in the direction of a property causing some damage to the front door.
"No one was injured and the incident is not believed to be linked to any other incidents."
Forensic officers examined the scene of the shooting yesterday.
It is the latest shooting in the city within weeks.
On February 4 a car was found with a bullet hole in its windscreen in Staveley Road, Whitmore Reans, while there were reports of gunfire outside the Bagot Arms in
Newhampton Road West on February 10.
Then, on February 16, a man was shot in the leg in Graisdale Gardens, Whitmore Reans, and houses were fired at in Monsal Avenue, Park Village, and Showell Road, Low Hill.
This week, man, 28, was shot in the chest in Inkerman Street, Heath Town.
