Armed raiders who stole three luxury cars from a house in South Staffordshire also escaped with more than £40,000 of jewellery, detectives said today.

Police have now launched a manhunt for three robbers, one of whom has distinctive gold teeth and was carrying a gun.

A diamond ring and Cartier and Breitling watches were stolen from the home near Pattingham, along with an Aston Martin, Mercedes and Range Rover worth more than £300,000.

The house in Lower Rudge was raided at 10pm on Friday. The couple who own the property were home at the time and tied up. They are said to be "very shaken" and suffering from bruises.

Det Chief Insp Alan Edwards said: "This was a very frightening ordeal for the couple involved and we are making extensive inquiries to catch those responsible.

"We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who can identify the offenders. Perhaps you saw one of the vehicles being abandoned or have been offered some jewellery which is identifiable."

The silver Aston Martin was found an hour after the robbery in Oxford Way, Tipton. The Range Rover Vogue was discovered in Grenville Drive, Smethwick, half an hour after that and the Mercedes SLK in New Street, Wolverhampton, in the early hours of Saturday.

The jewellery stolen included:

* A diamond solitaire ring

* A bracelet with diamonds all the way around

* A Breitling watch

* A Cartier silver watch with a sapphire in the dial

* A heart-shaped platinum and diamond necklace

* Long platinum earrings with cluster diamonds

Cash, bank cards and two BlackBerry phones were also taken.

A reward may now be offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

The robbers are described as an Asian man around 5ft 10in to 6ft, with a thin moustache and "cheap gold teeth" dull in colouring. He was holding a gun and may have been wearing a black shiny tracksuit top with hood and black trousers.

The second robber was black, around 5ft 10in and of strong build. He was wearing a dark tracksuit with hooded top.

The third raider was a light-skinned black man, 5ft 6in tall and aged around 23. He was slim, with freckles. Anyone with information can call police on 101.
