A motorist has died and another left injured after a two-car smash in Kingswinford today.

A motorist has died and another left injured after a two-car smash in Kingswinford today.

Paramedics were called to the junction of Stallings Lane and Oak Lane at around 5am. The male driver, who was able to get out of his car, was in cardiac arrest when crews arrived.

They attempted to resuscitate the man at the scene and while en route to Russells Hall. But he was confirmed dead at the hospital.

The driver of the second car, a man believed to be in his 70's, was treated at the scene for a knee injury.

It was the second crash in less than 24 hours in Kingswinford. A driver lost control of his car and overturned at the junction of the A449 and Lawnswood Road.

The driver, a man in his 50s, was cut free from the vehicle at around 4.40pm yesterday. He had head and neck injuries.
