Ram-raiders used a Ford KA to smash into a Staffordshire car spares company, causing thousands of pounds of damage, before dumping it and fleeing empty-handed in another getaway vehicle.
The raid took place in the early hours of yesterday morning at Chase Car Spares, in Hednesford. Those responsible are believed to have been on the hunt for valuable metal.
A red Ford KA was used to smash through gates on the site between 12.15am and 1am yesterday but it was left so damaged the four men inside made away in a second vehicle, a Renault Megane.
The Megane was found completely burnt out two miles away from the business, based at Unit 1, Chaseside Drive. Company owner Darren Owen, aged 39, said he didn't believe anything was stolen. Anyone with information should call Staffordshire Police on 101.
