A pensioner who died in a house fire in Darlaston was today named as Philip Bytheway.
The 82-year-old was killed when a blaze broke out at his home in Cramp Hill on January 6.
An inquest into his death was opened at Walsall Manor Hospital yesterday.
The fire started in a bedroom of the detached property in the early hours of the morning.
Coroner Robin Balmain adjourned the hearing for further inquiries to be carried out.
