Husband accused of killing to appear in court
A husband was appearing in court today accused of stabbing his wife to death in their Black Country home.

Shadi Afraziyan, aged 36, was knifed 18 times in the chest and stomach at the flat she shared with her 39-year-old husband in Newhampton Road West, Whitmore Reans, on December 29.
He had multiple stab injuries to his stomach and hands and had been in New Cross Hospital since the death of his wife, where he underwent surgery.
He was discharged from hospital yesterday and immediately arrested.
Officers charged Behnam Swraziy with murder yesterday afternoon and remanded him in custody to appear before Wolverhampton magistrates today.
The couple had a 12-year-old son together, who raised the alarm. It is believed the family are of Iranian origin.
