The partner of a 36-year-old mother stabbed to death in her Wolverhampton home was arrested today on suspicion of her murder.
The partner of a 36-year-old mother stabbed to death in her Wolverhampton home was arrested today on suspicion of her murder.
Shadi Afraziyan was knifed 18 times in the chest and stomach at a flat in Newhampton Road West, Whitmore Reans.
Her 39-year-old partner was also injured and has been in New Cross Hospital since then. He was today discharged and immediately arrested.
Det Insp Gordon Roberts, from the Force Criminal Investigation Department, said: "We are not looking for anyone else at this time but I would urge anyone who has information to come forward and speak to us."
The couple's 12-year-old son raised the alarm at 7.45am last Thursday.
