Masked raiders armed with a gun burst into an Oldbury convenience store and threatened three terrified workers before escaping with a haul of cash.

The robbers forced the women workers – one of whom is 10 weeks pregnant – into a back office and demanded they open the safe.

Detectives have now launched a manhunt following the raid at One Stop in Stanley Road at 9.55pm last Thursday.

Det Sgt Michael Greenland said three men entered the shop with their faces covered and forced the women into the back office, where they threatened them with the gun and made them open the safe.

He said one of the robbers also rifled behind the counter before all three ran off in the direction of the nearby PDSA.
