Two men were arrested today at a two-bedroom maisonette in Broad Street, Kidderminster, on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

Another man was arrested in Windsor Drive, Kidderminster, on suspicion of failing to answer bail. Officers broke down the door in Broad Street and used two sniffer dogs to search the property.

Two rocks of what is believed to be heroin worth about £50 were found, along with drugs equipment, including pipes and grinders.

A dozen mobile phones and more than £100 in cash, along with an unopened safe were also seized. When the men, one aged 45 and the other in his 20s, were searched at the police station, another £200 worth of wraps containing drugs believed to be crack cocaine or heroin were discovered.

Det Sgt Martin Grant, who was leading the operation, said a CCTV system had been rigged up in the maisonette living room. Six boxes of suspected stolen toys, including teddy bears, were also taken by police.

Det Sgt Grant said: "We are pleased with the results so far today. These searches have been carried out after we received intelligence about potential crimes."

In the other raids across Wyre Forest no arrests were made. Other similar raids have been carried out in the West Mercia Police area over the past 24 hours.
