Wolves legend Steve Bull has been honoured by a butcher after staff decided to name a new burger after him.
The footballer was invited to the official launch of Meat King at Stourbridge's Ryemarket Shopping Centre – and sample the burgers named after him.
He was joined by Ray Egan, a friend of store owner Tony Mallett, who dressed as character John Bull for the launch event on Friday.
Bully Burgers are the brainchild of Mr Mallett, 52, who has years of experience trading at meat markets around the region.
He said Stourbridge was the perfect place to open a new shop and there are already plans in the pipeline for other stores in the area. "We decided to name them Bully Burgers as a tribute to Steve," he said.
"We were delighted he could come down on the opening day. He tried some of the burgers and really seemed to like them.
"He spent around two hours with us in all and chatted to the customers. It was absolutely great and we would like to thank him."
Bull said he had been delighted to attend and had an excellent time.
He was also presented with a piece of prime fillet steak as a thank you from the store as well.
