Glassboys' mascot Edward Solly captures the optimistic mood of Stourbridge FC fans – riding high on the shoulders of his dad, goalkeeper Lewis, as the their second round FA Cup match fast approaches.

Four-year-old Edward and his fellow mascot, Harvey Moreton, aged seven, whose grandfather, Gordon Thomas, is a director of the club, are looking forward to their spell in the limelight at tomorrow's game against Stevenage.

Lewis, aged 27, said: "He can't wait to get on the pitch. It's something he's wanted to do for a long time."

As the team went through the paces at their final training session last night, eager fans queued to get their hands on an extra batch of tickets that went on sale after the crowd capacity was increased.

But, by the end of a two hour slot for the sale of tickets, there were still 200 left - and they were put on general release to be purchased at the club from 10am today.
