A new stand to seat Stourbridge fans living their FA Cup dream is taking shape at their home ground, as 200 extra tickets are about to go on sale for Saturday's second round match.

The stand, being built with a bird's eye view behind the "church end" of the War Memorial ground, will seat 600 home fans and another 120 places have also been added to the away supporters' area for those travelling from the opposing side, Stevenage.

It has paved the way for a scrum for an extra 200 tickets, which will go on sale from 7 to 9pm today from the "archway" turnstile.

Another 400 fans, who already have vouchers labelled "R" handed out after the side's FA Trophy match against Chester on Saturday, will be able to buy their tickets at the same time but from the church end turnstile.

The total capacity for the Stourbridge ground has now been raised to 3,384 – a record since the side's 1974 Welsh Cup match against Cardiff.

Among those who already have their tickets are members of the 11 junior and one youth teams, who have had their allocation for seats increased for the second round match.

Volunteer steward Dave Gorton, who has also been a Stourbridge fan for 22 years, said of the game: "It's beyond anything we ever expected or believed possible."
