Ex-Gladiators star Lightning strikes for challenge

A former Gladiators star is encouraging people in Staffordshire to push themselves to the limit to support a local hospice.

Kim Betts, aka Lightning, wants to ins-pire an army of fundraisers in Katharine House Hospice's Endurance Challenge. Starting and ending at Milford Common, the event is a 5.4 mile run on Sunday, March 11.

Kim, from Burntwood, said she hopes to see a good crowd of people taking part and the fundraiser is a great way of getting people active and raising money for charity at the same time.

She added: "It's a local charity and I always try and do what I can in the local community. I've had a look around here today and they are just lovely people."
