Flood-hit families in Streetly were today warned to keep their possessions safe after it emerged would-be thieves were "circling like vultures".

Police officers are patrolling the streets to keep an eye on things and today reminded households to be vigilant.
Families who moved their water-damaged belongings into their front gardens in a bid to salvage them said police officers had to step in to stop people from stealing them. Meanwhile, around a dozen pothole repairs have started on the roads.
Extra bin collections have also been extended throughout the week.
Around 150 homes were damaged over the weekend after a water pipe connected to Barr Beacon Reservoir burst.
