£12m debt left by Floors-2-Go

A West Midland flooring firm collapsed with debts of nearly £12 million including unpaid wages and redundancy for some of the 172 workers who lost their jobs, the Express & Star can reveal today.

A West Midland flooring firm collapsed with debts of nearly £12 million including unpaid wages and redundancy for some of the 172 workers who lost their jobs, the Express & Star can reveal today.

Floor My Home Limited, the parent company of the former Birmingham-based Floors-2-Go, went into administration in August, with a total of £11.94m in debts.

They include money owed to Black Country councils and businesses across the region.

Among dozens of traders owed a total £8.02m, are Halesowen-based Sovereign Office Equipment, which is owed £16,675. West Bromwich-based logistics company Creighton Material Handling Ltd is £8,318 out of pocket.

Of councils owed cash, figures show Dudley is owed £36,892. Sandwell is claiming £8,250, Walsall is owed £3,636 and Wolverhampton £3,432. Birmingham City Council is owed £78,527 while Wyre Forest is claiming £11,550.
