Tesco Express store is planned for Cannock

A new Tesco Express is planned in Cannock as part of a development that would create 15 jobs in the town, it was revealed today.

The new store and three other shops will open at land off Stafford Road, replacing a St Giles charity shop, under a proposed scheme that will bring 10 full-time and five part-time posts.

The existing car park would also be expanded for up to 30 cars under the proposals submitted to Cannock Chase Council by Pritchard Developments Ltd.

Bosses say if given the green light, the retail park could open within a year.
