A knife-wielding robber burst into a Black Country beauty salon and demanded the takings from a terrified member of staff before fleeing seconds later with just £50.
Dressed in a green parka jacket with a black scarf covering his face, this image shows the raider entering the Too Glam salon in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, just before closing time, clutching a six-inch blade.
He threatened the lone 20-year-old woman staffing the shop, who bravely told him there was no cash to steal. But the brazen robber spotted some banknotes beside the till and grabbed them before rummaging through the employee's handbag, taking her purse and fleeing.
Today salon manager Claire Harris issued the CCTV picture to the Express & Star in the hope of tracking down the culprit.
The 38-year-old said the member of staff subjected to the ordeal was too traumatised to talk about it.
"I'm doing everything I can to get his picture out there, someone might know who he is," she said. "He has upset my staff for the sake of a pittance. I feel physically sick thinking about what he did."
As a result of the raid, at 6.55pm on Thursday night, the salon will close an hour earlier, at 6pm. A panic alarm is also being installed while two staff will be working at closing time. Police are hunting a man under 6ft tall with fair complexion.
Anyone with information is asked to call CID at Bloxwich on the number 0845 113 5000.
