Teenage girl struck by car

A teenage girl suffered head and arm injuries when she was knocked down by a car in Lichfield.

The accident involving a 4X4 Mitsubishi happened in Station Road near Rotten Row just before 9am yesterday.

The 16-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Queen's Hospital in Burton upon Trent. The road was shut until 9.25am.

Staffordshire Police are asking for witnesses to call 0300 123 4455 quoting incident 125 of October 18.
